June 27, 2021 – (TDI): The Secretary of the United States of America, Antony Blinken held a telephonic contact with the Prime minister of the Republic of Sudan, Abdalla Hamdok.
The main topic of dialogue between them was Sudan’s progress in the implementation of economic, political, and security reforms. They talked about progress made by Sudan in regards to securing peace in the states and region. Normalization of Sudan-Israel bilateral relations was also addressed by the two officials. They focused on the implementation of Sudan’s peace agreements and its dedication to establishing regional stability.
Secretary Blinken, while highlighting the transitional government of Sudan, stressed supporting the Sudanese Prime Minister.
Their call also centered on instituting national unity. They exchanged views about formulating a legislative council through various steps and reorienting Sudanese armed Forces by uniting other forces with it. Secretary Blinken reiterated the importance of accountability and justice
