Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for Two Pakistani Diplomats

-

Islamabad, 16 June 2021 (TDI): Tamgha-e-Imtiaz received by the two Pakistani diplomats at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing during a special investiture ceremony held on Tuesday.  On behalf of the President of Pakistan, Pakistan Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque presented the civil award to Second Secretary Muhammad Junaid and Education Attache Muhammad Suleman Mahsud for their outstanding services to Pakistani students and community members stranded in Wuhan during the COVID-19 pandemic early last year. This model was conferred to the President of Pakistan in March and the Embassy hosted a special event to present this award to the two diplomats.

The two officers made a special solidarity mission to the pandemic’s epicenter and were imprisoned for 53 days in Hubei province. During the lockdown, they offered assistance and reassurance to members of the Pakistani community, particularly students. The ceremony commemorated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China and their beautiful and exceptional friendship.
