Islamabad (TDI): Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi arrived late Monday night for a two-day official visit aimed at discussing the Middle East situation and strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan.
Upon his arrival, he was greeted by Additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan and West Asia) Ambassador Ahmed Naseem Warraich, as noted in a Foreign Office press release.
During his stay, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
This visit is seen as a vital opportunity to enhance cooperation and dialogue between Pakistan and Iran across various sectors, including trade, energy, and security.
Pakistan-Iran Relations
Pakistan and Iran, two neighbors, share a long history of relationship. Both share a border of approximately 959 kilometers, which has facilitated cultural exchanges and trade over the centuries.
Both nations have significant historical and cultural connections, with a shared Islamic heritage.
