Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to the visiting leaders and delegates for the 23rd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government, held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad today.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar accompanied the Prime Minister during the reception ceremony. Among the first to arrive were SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming and Iran’s Minister of Industry Syed Mohammad Atabak.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally welcomed each dignitary, including China’s Prime Minister Li Qiang, Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustim, Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Kyrgyzsta’s Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov.
Mongolia’s Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of the Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Rashid Meredov, and India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

Following the formal reception, the leader gathered for an official group photo, making the commencement of the 23rd SCO Heads of Government meeting.
