On 28 July 2021, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan who was leading a 14 member parliamentary delegation. Asad Qaiser and his Delegation are on an official tour to Azerbaijan.
The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan emphasized that the trilateral meetings have made a major contribution to the strengthening of ties between the nations, referring to the meeting of the three countries’ foreign ministers in Islamabad earlier this year. He stated that Azerbaijan supports resolving the Jammu and Kashmir conflict under International law, as well as pertinent UN Security Council resolutions. While addressing the meeting Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, commended the Azerbaijan government and its people on the freedom of its lands, adding that Pakistanis celebrated the triumph with Azerbaijanis.
Jeyhun Bayramov and the Pakistani parliamentary delegation also addressed bilateral economic, commercial, humanitarian, energy, transportation, and other problems. They discussed the future of collaboration in a variety of sectors. Climate change and regional security problems were also highlighted at the meeting.
