Juba, 17 September 2021 (TDI): Rebecca Nyandeng Garang de Mabior, the first female Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, had her first official meeting with Jeffery David Feltman, the special envoy of the US for the Horn of Africa, to discuss peace and stability of the region.
The epicenter of the meeting remained at the need for youth engagement, especially women, in public and private affairs of the region. Being the propagator of women empowerment, the first lady vice president shed light on the abysmal condition of women in the Horn of Africa region.
Along with it, during the meeting, the discussions also encompassed the peace and stability in the region with the help of enhanced women and youth engagement. The meeting was termed welcoming and promising by the Vice President of South Sudan.
