RAWALPINDI, (TDI): Four soldiers who were martyred on Thursday in a gunbattle with terrorists in the country’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were laid to rest on Saturday with full military honours.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, Naib Subedar Taib Shah, 38, was buried in his hometown of Tank district.
Lance Naik Gulab Zaman Shaheed, a resident of Karak district; Lance Naik Habibullah Shaheed, a resident of Orakzai district; and Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood Shaheed, also a resident of Karak district, were buried in their native hometowns.
A large number of military and civilian officials, Pakistan Army personnel, relatives of the martyrs, and local community members attended the funeral prayers and burials.

Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism, the ISPR said in a statement, adding that the sacrifices of these courageous soldiers further strengthen their resolve.

On Thursday, ISPR stated that four Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom while five terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire between security forces and Khwarij terrorists in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The exchange of fire took place in the general area of Karama, South Waziristan district, which shares a border with Afghanistan.
