Ljubljana, 30 September 2021 (TDI): Slovenia and Latvia are celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations today.
The two countries enjoy friendly relations since the commencement of their bilateral relations in 1991. The two states are also part of the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) which cement their cooperation.
Slovenia and Latvia on their 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, look forward to further strengthening their relations by enhancing the cooperation with each other.
The government of Latvia acknowledges the bilateral relations with the government of Slovenia and also appreciates the role of Slovenia by participating in the NATO mission in Latvia for the security of Latvia as well as of the whole region.
The two countries, furthermore, anticipate cooperating in The Three Seas Initiative.
