Wuhan, 2 November 2021 (TDI): China inaugurated the Sino-Pak friendship square in Wuhan. It reflects the deep friendship between the two countries.
Sino-Pak friendship square is inaugurated today in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The square expresses the strong bond between the two countries. China Pakistan enjoys ironclad friendship which helps each other in difficult times. The two countries fully trust each other.

The Wuhan Sino-Pak friendship square is the first of its kind in China. It is made to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two states. The square spotlights the national images of the two countries.
The grand opening ceremony of this event was held on the banks of the Yangtze River in Wuhan. Moin ul Haque, the Pakistani Ambassador to China was the chief guest of the event. From China, Wuhan’s vice mayor Jiang Wei, Hubei’s deputy governor Zhao Heishan, and other officials attended the event. The vice mayor of Wuhan emphasized Sino-Pak ironclad friendship. He also gave a briefing on the Sino-Pak friendship square.
Pakistani Ambassador emphasized ironclad friendship
Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque on the inauguration ceremony of the event highlighted the close friendly relations between the two states. He stated that the friendship square is the reflection of the ironclad friendship of the two states. Pakistani ambassador also highlighted the deep trust and mutual respect between the two nations. He expressed that the construction of the friendship square will help to enhance the cooperation between Pakistan and the Hubei province of China.
MoU on collaboration of Engineering Universities
During the event, the Pakistani Ambassador also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of Center of Excellence on Chemical and Material Engineering at the University of Applied Engineering and Emerging Technology, Sialkot with Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Establishment of sister city relations
They also signed sister city relations between Karachi and Wuhan, Kahuta and Yiling, and Haripur and Yichang. It will help to strengthen the people to people contact between the two states. This will strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The two countries enjoy close relations and help each other whenever need arises. Currently, China is investing in Pakistan in one of its biggest projects known as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). CPEC’s mission is to connect Pakistani port with the Chinese city Kashgar. This project will establish roads, railways, industries, and will help Pakistan to create employment opportunities.
