Doha, 15 September 2021 (TDI): The Sheraton Hotel in Doha, Qatar, a symbol of the Qatari people, recognized in the Middle East, illuminated with the flag of Costa Rica on the night of 15 September to celebrate the 200th Independence day of Costa Rica.
Ambassador Álvaro Segura Ávila highlighted the motive for the lights in the Sheraton, alongside other activities planned with and for the Costa Rican population in Qatar to celebrate the bicentenary of Independence.
In 2011, both countries established embassies in their respective capitals. The display of the Costa Rican flag in the Sheraton Hotel represents that both countries enjoy cordial bilateral relations.
