Lahore (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday lauded Interior Minister and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi’s stance on the matter of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
“PCB’s stance on the Champions Trophy is the voice of every Pakistani,” the premier said during a meeting with Naqvi in Lahore, adding the cricket board chief had represented 240 million Pakistanis in the ICC.

Naqvi briefed PM Shehbaz about the ICC meeting on the future of the Champions Trophy.
The premier lauded his efforts on the matter, saying: “Pakistan’s honour comes first, and everything else comes after.”

In response, Naqvi assured that the PCB was fully prepared to host the marquee tournament in the country.
The PCB chairman expressed hope for positive news regarding the tournament.
