Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated Pakistan on a historic ODI series win in Australia after 22 years.
After losing the first ODI at the MCG, Pakistan made a resounding comeback and won the next two matches in Adelaide and Perth to win the series 2-1. Pakistan last won an ODI series Down Under in 2002 with Waqar Younis as their leader.
“This is a moment of immense pride for the nation,” the prime minister said in a statement.

He commended the excellent performances of Pakistan’s bowlers and batsmen.
“Our players showed remarkable skill against Australia,” he said, adding that the entire nation was proud of the Pakistan team’s performances.

The premier said the hard work of every player and member of the management was evident, and the Pakistan cricket team fully deserved this win.
