PM Shehbaz, Others Condemn Indian Strikes on Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, besides other local and global leaders, on Wednesday strongly condemned the Indian strikes on Pakistan that martyred at least eight and wounded over 35 civilians.

India attacked nine sites in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, while the Pakistan military shot down five Indian fighter planes, including thee Rafale planes, one MIG-29 and one SU-30.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the “cunning enemy” carried out “cowardly attacks” on Pakistan.

“Pakistan has the right to give a befitting response to the war imposed by India and a strong response is being given.”

He said that the whole nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Pakistan Armed Forces and the spirit and morale of the nation is high.

“The nation and the armed forces know very well how to deal with the enemy.”

He added that India would never be allowed to succeed in its evil intentions.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed serious concern over Indian military strikes on Pakistan, his spokesperson said, hours after New Delhi said it targeted nine sites in Pakistani territory.

“The UN chief is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control (LoC) and international border. He calls for maximum military restraint from both nations. The world cannot afford a military confrontation between Pakistan and India,” Stephane Dujarric said.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also strongly condemned India’s coward attack on Pakistani territory and civilian targets.

In a post on X, Bilawal said: “Such acts of aggression will not go unanswered. Pakistan’s brave armed forces, including our valiant air force, are responding with resolve. Any misadventure will be met with full force. Pakistan stands united.”

He said that India’s cowardly and unprovoked strikes on civilian targets in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Kotli and Muzaffarabad were acts of war.

“The targeting of innocent children and women is not strength, it is cruelty. Pakistan’s military, supported by a strong nation, are responding with full force.”

He said that every attack would be crushed. “We will not tolerate violations of our sovereignty. The nation is united, defiant, and well-prepared.”

First Lady Asifa Bhutto has also strongly condemned the Indian coward attack, terming it a flagrant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty.

She stated that the Indian attack intentionally targeted innocent children and women, which cannot be defensible under any circumstances.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also strongly condemned the Indian strikes and stated that safeguarding every inch of the country was part of their faith and her oath.

“The whole nation stands behind the Pakistan Army in this war imposed on Pakistan,” she added,

Maryam said that she has issued emergency response orders immediately.

“Success will be our destiny, God willing,” she added.
