An Iranian drone strike hit Saudi Arabia’s Aramco Ras Tanura refinery in Ras Tanura, forcing a precautionary shutdown of the facility. The complex, one of the Middle East’s largest refineries with a capacity of 550,000 barrels per day, also serves as a major crude export terminal.
A PNSC oil-loading vessel at the refinery was temporarily suspended, and a state of emergency was declared on the site.

“China believes the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Gulf states should be fully respected and supports countries in strengthening communication to prevent further conflict,” Mao said during a press briefing.
