Belgrade, 29 July 2022 (TDI): President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon Michael Moussa-Adamo to discuss extended bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
On the agenda of this high-level meeting was also a discussion on comprehensive bilateral ties, development, and political engagement between the two countries.

Highlights from the Meeting
The President of Serbia expressed Serbia’s commitment to improving the overall cooperation with Gabon. He also conveyed greetings to his counterpart, the President of Gabon Bongo Ondimba.
Vučić noted that the two countries have a long tradition of friendly relations. He said that it is precisely this friendship that will be useful as a basis for the further development of political and economic cooperation.
Additionally, he said that Gabon has set serious plans for economic development. He added that there is space for cooperation in the industrialization of the country, agriculture, building of the food industry, and in exchange of experiences in various fields.
He emphasized the meeting was also an opportunity to affirm the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Gabon.
Moreover, in anticipation of 2023, he reminded, the two countries will mark and celebrate 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Towards a Comprehensive Partnership
The Serbian President further said that his country looks towards an intense political dialogue with Gabon. This comes as they move towards a comprehensive partnership. The two also look forward to future meetings, discussions, and agreements.
He added that Serbia is also committed to strengthening ties with other African nations. This will be on the basis of the shared history of mutual respect and friendship.
