Washington D.C (TDI): Earlier today, Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken had a conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the rapidly escalating situation in Syria.
Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Fidan had a conversation about the importance of de-escalation and the safeguarding of civilian lives and infrastructure in Aleppo and other locations.

Additionally, they reviewed the current humanitarian activities that are taking place in Gaza, as well as the necessity of bringing a stop to the war and ensuring the release of all hostages.
Both officials also discussed the global situation viz-a-viz the Middle East and the European context and the role of Turkey and US in resolving the current crisis.
The most significant Middle Eastern nations from Turkey’s perspective would be Iran, Iraq, and Syria, where problems of usage of water, political ambition and other factors are involved.
