Washington, 9 August 2021 (TDI): Earlier today, Secretary Antony Blinken on his Twitter remembered the 8888 pro-democracy movement and the people of Burma’s decades-long struggle for democracy and peace. On his behalf of the United States, Blinken expressed its calling for their human rights and fundamental freedoms to be respected in support of those in Burma.
