SCO Ministers Vow to Strengthen Cooperation

Islamabad, (TDI): In a significant development for regional trade, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) ministers responsible for foreign economic and trade activities have agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation.

The high-profile SCO Business and Investment Conference, hosted by Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, was attended by senior government officials, foreign diplomats, SCO member state representatives, business leaders, and ministers.

The event underscored Pakistan’s commitment to advancing trade and economic partnerships in the region.

Addressing the conference, Jam Kamal Khan expressed his appreciation to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for organizing the event and extended a warm welcome to the attendees.

He highlighted the historical and cultural bonds among SCO member states as a foundation for future collaboration and stressed the importance of people-to-people connections in fostering economic ties.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s investment-friendly environment, Jam Kamal assured attendees of the country’s favorable investment climate, bolstered by proactive government initiatives.

He pointed out that Pakistan’s youthful and dynamic population of approximately 240 million represents a significant market potential.

The conference provided delegates with opportunities to explore investment prospects in Pakistan and the broader SCO region.
