Jeddah, 10 August 2021 (TDI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, had a telephonic conversation with US State Secretary Antony J. Blinken. They both talked about regional security issues and Iran’s attack on Saudi Arabia’s MV Mercer Street in the Arabian Ocean. Secretary Blinken and Minister Faisal discussed other regional issues, strengthening security cooperation, and Saudi Arabia’s support for a comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen during the telephonic call. Antony Blinken further added that there is a need to promote human rights.
