Riyadh (TDI): Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman held a phone call on Thursday with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani to discuss enhancing bilateral defense cooperation.
The two ministers reviewed the close ties between their countries in the military and security fields and explored ways to deepen collaboration. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments of common concern.

Defense and security cooperation has since emerged as a key area of renewed engagement. Analysts say closer coordination between Saudi Arabia and Qatar is part of a broader effort by Gulf states to boost collective security amid regional tensions and shifting international alliances.
Joint military exercises, intelligence sharing, and defense technology cooperation are reportedly among the initiatives under consideration.
