Riyadh, 9 November 2021 (TDI): The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman wishes Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni a happy Independence Day. King Salman wishes King Sihamoni continued good health and happiness.
As well as the Cambodian government and people continued growth and prosperity. Cambodia will commemorate the 68th anniversary of its independence from France today (1953-2021). The King of Cambodia holds the royal presidency.
On this day, the king will light the victory flame at Phnom Penh’s Independence Monument. This will be torched for three days. High-ranking authorities will take part in the event, which will be attended by a large audience of Phnom Penh citizens and students. Foreign ambassadors to Cambodia are anticipated to attend the event as well.
Delegations from several government departments and institutes will lay wreaths in turn. This will take place at the Independence Monument and the Royal Statue of King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk. To commemorate Independence Day, this is placed near the Independence Monument.
