Saudi Arabia-India Bilateral Ties

Over the years, the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and India have been reinforced by several agreements and visits. During their meeting last year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed infrastructure development, cultural exchanges, and economic collaboration.

In addition, the countries worked together on defense and security, exchange of intelligence, and holding joint military drills. Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need to bring about enduring peace in the Middle East.

In this meeting, they reaffirmed their support for the Arab Peace Initiative and pertinent United Nations resolutions. Additionally, they conveyed optimism for a fair and all-encompassing peace that protects the Palestinian people’s rights.

The two countries have considerably expanded strategic alliances as reflected in these developments. The potential for collaboration in supply chains, semiconductors, energy efficiency, food security, and grid connectivity has expanded notably since Prime Minister Modi’s talks with Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman last year.

Over the years, they have also increased investment and trade, with Saudi Arabia providing India with petroleum while India exporting textiles and basmati rice.
