Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry welcomes the Consul General of Qatar

Jeddah, 21 September 2021 (TDI): Makkah Al-Mukarramah region’s Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mazen bin Hamad Al Himali acquired the credentials of the State of Qatar’s Consul General, Rashid bin Saeed Al Khayarin in Jeddah.

Mazen bin Hamad welcomed the Consul General keeping in view the brotherly ties between both countries. He wished him success in his duties and responsibilities.

Saudi Arabia and some other Arab Countries had imposed a travel embargo on Qatar since 2017 accusing Qatar of backing terrorism.

On Friday, the top officials from UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar had a cordial meeting in the Red Sea.

All these instances are a return to their diplomatic ties.
