Riyadh (TDI): Saudi Arabia and Egypt have both expressed strong support for Oman’s initiative to host direct negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Both nations have underscored the significance of the diplomatic endeavor as a constructive pathway toward addressing regional disputes and fostering lasting peace.
Saudi Arabia commended Oman for facilitating this vital dialogue, reaffirming its steadfast support for peaceful solutions through open and respectful negotiations.

Saudi Arabia emphasized the importance of adopting dialogue as a means to resolve all regional and international conflicts and expressed optimism that these talks would promote security, stability, and peace in the region and beyond.
Similarly, Egypt welcomed Oman’s efforts, acknowledging the their vital and sustained role in promoting political solutions amidst the pressing challenges facing the Middle East.
Egypt reiterated its long-held position that there is no military solution to the crises engulfing the region and stressed the need for sincere, constructive dialogue to reduce tensions.

The Egyptian government also highlighted the importance of ensuring the security and stability of neighboring Gulf states while urging both sides to work toward an agreement that addresses mutual concerns.
Both Riyadh and Cairo share hope that the ongoing negotiations will pave the way for broader efforts to de-escalate tensions, especially in conflict zones like Gaza.

Egypt particularly emphasized the need for the talks to contribute to a sustainable ceasefire, reconstruction efforts in Gaza, and ultimately the launch of a credible peace process that secures the rights of Palestinians and ends the suffering that has persisted for decades.
