Manama, 30 September 2023 (TDI): In a significant diplomatic engagement Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met with his Bahraini counterpart, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, in Manama.
The engagement aimed at fostering and developing the historic relations between the two Kingdoms.
Prince Faisal conveyed Saudi Arabia’s heartfelt condolences to the leadership and people of Bahrain, extending sympathies to the families of the martyred soldiers who were participating in the Restoring Hope operations on the southern border of Saudi Arabia.
He also wished a swift recovery to those injured in these operations.
Subsequently, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, hosted a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, at Riffa Palace.
During this meeting, the long-standing and enduring relations between the two countries were underscored, strengthened through the dedicated efforts of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to reinforcing these relations to foster mutual development and prosperity.
The role played by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, in advancing the Bahrain-Saudi Arabia partnership, was commended during the meeting.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan conveyed the greetings and sincere well-wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
In return, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Prince Mohammed bin Salman, extending wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and its citizens.
The discussions also included expressions of gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s condolences regarding the fallen servicemen from Bahrain who had valiantly participated in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition Forces at the southern border of Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, the influential role of Saudi Arabia in advocating for the causes of GCC, Arab, and Islamic nations was highlighted.
The meeting concluded with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hosting a luncheon in honor of Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s visit to the Kingdom, further exemplifying the warm and fraternal ties between the two nations.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, were also in attendance.
