Tashkent (TDI): Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed Saida Mirziyoyeva as the head of the Presidential Administration, according to an official announcement from the presidential press service. The appointment comes as part of a broader structural reform aimed at streamlining the functions of Uzbekistan’s top executive body.
The newly formed role is the result of a reorganisation within the Presidential Administration, with the aim of improving governance and administrative efficiency. A presidential decree confirming her appointment was signed earlier this week.
Mirziyoyeva, who had been serving as Assistant to the President since August 2023, steps into the new position with prior experience across several senior government roles. Her appointment signals continuity in the administration’s ongoing institutional transformation.
Born in 1984 in Kokand, Fergana region, Saida Mirziyoyeva is a graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. She also holds master’s degrees from Tashkent State University of Law and Moscow State University, along with a PhD in Economics.
Mirziyoyeva first entered public service in 2019 as Deputy Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration. From 2020 to 2022, she was Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Public Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media.
In 2022, she was appointed to head the Department for Communications and Information Policy within the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration, where she led the government’s media and information policy.
The Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan was first established in August 2018.
It was previously led by Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov (2018–2022) and later by Sardor Umurzakov (2022–2023).
Mirziyoyeva’s appointment places her at the forefront of Uzbekistan’s executive structure at a time when the country continues to implement internal reforms and modernise its institutions.
