Kigali, 28 October 2021 (TDI): The Rwandan Minister of Environment, Mujawamariya Jeanne d’Arc, met with Per Olsson Fridh, Swedish Minister of International Development Cooperation & Humanitarian Affairs. The purpose of this bilateral meeting was to take into account the environmental issues and remedies to counter those issues faced by both the Republic of Rwanda and Sweden.

During the meeting, the main focus was led on Biodiversity conservation priorities. Rwanda is one of the leading countries to talk and work for environmental protection. With the help of Sweden, Rwanda desires to build a better ecology across the continent. Along with it, both of the ministers also talked about land management. Further, both ministers talked about measures taken for an improved land management system across the Republic of Rwanda.
Furthermore, discussions were also diverted towards the existing projects between the Republic of Rwanda and Sweden. During the meeting, both Sweden and Rwandan Ministers displayed ultimate support for environmental protection.
Both Rwanda and Sweden share brotherly relations. Moreover, with this meeting on board, both want to enhance their bilateral relations in the field of environmental protection. At the end both the ministers committed to work for a better ecological system in the region.
