Rwanda HC to Celebrate Kwibohora Liberation Day in Islamabad

Islamabad (TDI): The High Commission of Rwanda in Pakistan is set to host Kwibohora 31 – Rwanda’s 31st Liberation Day on July 4, in Islamabad.

The event will commemorate the nation’s liberation journey and progress since the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, will welcome an audience of distinguished guests including senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, members of the media and the friends of Rwanda.

“Kwibohora 31” reflects Rwanda’s journey from 4th July 1994 till today as a country with commitment to inclusive growth, peace, sustainable development and international cooperation.

The event will feature traditional Rwandan cultural performances, a short film on Rwanda’s transformation over the past three decades and its growing role in global peacekeeping, economic development and diplomacy.

It will reaffirm the deepening ties between Rwanda and Pakistan in areas such as trade, investment, defense, health, education, and diplomacy.

Announcing the ceremony, the High Commission said it is looking forward to celebrate this historic day with friends and partners in Pakistan.
