Islamabad (TDI): A group of Russian students from the Moscow Institute of International Relations has completed an internship at the Urdu Department of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad.
Before their departure, the students arrived at the Russian Embassy and met with Ambassador Albert Khorev.
During the three-month internship, Urdu language students had the opportunity to engage more closely with Urdu language and literature.
They also visited Pakistan Academy of Letters and participated in a conference that introduced them in-depth to the traditions of Urdu Adab.

To maximize their experience in Pakistan, NUML University also took these students to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senate, and Radio Pakistan.
In conversation with the students, Russian Ambassador Albert Khorev expressed great pleasure and hoped that this internship will multiply the interest the students have in Urdu Language.
He also highlighted the great impact such educational and cultural exchanges have for students of both countries.
Earlier, a special ceremony was arranged where Director General NUML, Shehzad Munir, interacted with the students, presented them with certificates, and also handed some gifts as token of remembrance.
University-to-university exchanges and academic collaborations are a hallmark of Pakistan-Russia relations.
Last month, the Rectors of Federal Urdu University, Pakistan and Kazan Federal University, Russia met in Karachi and discussed collaborations.
In ambassadorial-level meetings, student exchange programs are not only a key discussion point but people in executive roles in the Ministry of Education are also invited for the smooth execution of new initiatives pertaining cooperation in education.
