Moscow (TDI): Russia’s Foreign Ministry has firmly rejected Poland’s claims that Russian drones intentionally violated Polish airspace during strikes on Ukraine, calling the accusations unfounded and aimed at escalating tensions.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry referred to the Russian Defense Ministry’s clarification that no strike targeted Polish territory during the precision strikes carried out against Ukrainian military infrastructure on September 10.
According to Moscow, the drones used in the operation had a range of less than 700 kilometers, short of reaching Polish airspace, contradicting Warsaw’s assertions.
“These facts overturn the myths which Poland is spreading again to aggravate the Ukrainian crisis,” the statement said.

The Ministry also noted that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking after a NATO Council meeting under Article 4 convened at Poland’s request, could not provide evidence of Russia’s alleged intent. Instead, he confirmed only that “a full assessment is ongoing.”
Despite dismissing the accusations, Russia said it was willing to engage in dialogue to avoid further escalation.

The Defense Ministry expressed readiness to hold consultations with Poland’s Defense Ministry on the issue, with the Foreign Ministry offering to support these efforts.
The statement reflects Moscow’s stance that the latest allegations are politically motivated, while signaling openness to discussions aimed at preventing the situation from worsening.
