Moscow, 4 January 2023 (TDI): President of Russia, Vladimir Putin met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym Jomart Tokayev to the discussion how to strengthen cooperation.
They discussed areas such as the fuel and energy sectors. A telephone conversation between the two heads of state which took place yesterday, 3 January 2022 began with the wishing of new year greetings as usual.
They further noted the high level of bilateral relations in the two country’s strategic partnerships and alliances.
They have been a stronger bilateral alliance between these countries. For the past years now, they continued to reach out to each other every time in ensuring that these relations become stronger.

During the conversation, the focus was on the energy sector of the countries seeking to further their cooperation. The Russian energy sector has been strong among other economies.
The President of Kazakhstan in the conversation emphasized the need to promote economic development through the energy sector.
The Russian government due to the crisis between them and Ukraine has affected their energy sector relations with many countries.
The President of Kazakhstan applauded the counterpart for this great initiative. Stating that this is the right move and will help to protect the image of their economy.
Both leaders stated that despite the aim to promote their relations in all the sectors being discussed, they also stand to promote unity in the region and to ensure that their ways of doing things bring joy to them.
President Putin emphasized that Russia would continue to support Kazakhstan all the time and will work hard to promote development in all their economic endeavor.
The current economic challenges facing the world call for general cooperation and every country must utilize the opportunity to promote good relations among each other.
