Kazan, 28 July 2021 (TDI): Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, attended the 12th Russia-Islamic World Summit in Kazan, on Wednesday. The Kazan Summit is one of the leading economic ventures of Russia with the Islamic World. The member states of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation are part of this Summit.
Kazan is a Russian city and it is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Tatarstan. Tatarstan is a republic of Russia in the Eastern European region.
12th Russia-Islamic World Summit
The goal of the Kazan Summit is to strengthen connections between Russia and the Islamic world. It is the main platform for cooperation between Russia and the Islamic World. Pakistan is eager to play a key role in boosting economic relations between Russia and the Islamic world.
The Kazan Summit 2021, which brings together Russian and Islamic world business experts, began on Wednesday in Kazan, Russia’s region of Tatarstan.
The opening ceremony of the “Russia Halal Expo” kicked off the three-day event.
The Russia Halal Expo is one of the largest in Russia. It is the only Expo of this nature in the Volga Federal district trade show. It serves as a platform for international buyers as well as suppliers of Halal food in Russia. The Halal Expo is organized by the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
In order to bring potential investors and stakeholders, the Summit aims to bring in more members and expand. More than 4,000 people attended the Kazan Summit, which aimed to strengthen trade, economic, scientific-technical, social, and cultural connections between Russia and member nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The Summit also aims to encourage the growth of Islamic financial institutions in Russia. The agenda of this year’s Kazan Summit is to discuss the issue of conscious mobility with reference to the increasing needs of the entire world.
