Moscow, 20 September 2021 (TDI): The Winter Olympics 2022 invitation from China’s President Xi Jinping was accepted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At the meeting on Thursday, in Tajikistan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi about Moscow’s acceptance of the proposal for the Olympics Games which will be held in February next year.
On this discourse, President Putin warmly and welcomingly approved this proposal and affirmed that Russian athletes will take part in the Winter Olympics 2022, in Beijing. Furthermore, while talking about the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, Lavrov highlighted the significance of this treaty and strong bilateral relations between China and Russia.
