ISLAMABAD (TDI): On Friday, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has expelled six British diplomats from Moscow, accusing them of espionage and sabotage.
The FSB claimed that these diplomats were involved in activities threatening Russia’s security, specifically alleging that they were part of a British foreign office department working to escalate the conflict with Ukraine and ensure Russia’s defeat.
A statement released by FSB said that documents revealed a British foreign office department was coordinating efforts to worsen the political and military situation concerning Russia.
The FSB described these actions as posing a threat to Russian national security.
Russia Ousts Six UK Diplomats
The Russian Foreign Ministry, in coordination with relevant agencies, announced that it had revoked the accreditation of the six diplomats from the British Embassy.
Russian state TV broadcast their names and photographs, highlighting the seriousness of the accusations.

An FSB official said that the expulsion was a response to what Russia perceives as unheeded warnings about intelligence activities.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova criticized the British Embassy’s actions as exceeding diplomatic norms and deliberately aimed at harming Russia.
The British Embassy in Moscow has yet to respond to these developments. If further evidence of similar activities is found, Russia indicated that additional British diplomats might also be expelled.
