
Moscow, 28 November 2021 (TDI): The 25th meeting of the Russia-China commission was held via video conference, on 25 of November. The videoconference was to discuss the cooperation and ensure support between both countries. The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Chernyshenko, and Vice-Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Hu Chunhua, led the meeting.
Chernyshenko and Chunhua discussed several topics, like trade and economy, science, technology, banking, customs, transports cooperation. Both also discussed cooperation in industry, agriculture, outer space, the peaceful use of nuclear technology, and ICT. Finally, Chernyshenko and Chunhua discussed cooperation in environmental protection, construction, and urban administration.
TREATY OF GOOD NEIGHBORLINESS AND FRIENDLY COOPERATION
Chernyshenko also noted the 20th Anniversary Russian-Chinese treaty of Good Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. According to which shows the strong bilateral relationship between border sharing countries. Due to Covid-19, bilateral trade dropped $104 billion. In 2021, the bilateral trade increased in the first ten months to exceed $109.7 billion.

RUSSIA’S TARGET ACCORDING TO CHERNYSHENKO
In addition, he stated that Russia’s target is to strengthen their relations by following our leaders’ instructions to develop a roadmap. Chernyshenko then added that the roadmap had the objective of increasing bilateral trade to 200 billion by 2024.
RUSSIA-CHINA JOINT EFFORTS
Vice-Premier of China, in his turn, noted that the efforts of both countries are to implement joint agreements. According to the note, the Russia-China relations have already delivered results. Some examples could be the actions that both have taken in the fields of agriculture and trade.
Russian Deputy Economic Development Minister Vladimir Ilyichyov acknowledged the effectiveness of their joint efforts. According to Ilyichyov, those efforts are to identify barriers and restrictions in trade, and the economy, and investment.
Chernyshenko and Chunhua acknowledged the joint efforts to create a secure mobile operation system. The two parties reached an agreement on cooperation to expand the uses of the Russian Operation System, Aurora. They also agreed to build an ecosystem with open source code for applications from the leaders of the Chinese IT industry.
BORDER REGION PROTECTIONS
The parties also noted the successful work on environmental protection carried out in their border regions. On border matters, the parties particularly noted their efforts to monitor the quality of their cross-border waters.
Those efforts are to protect unique animal populations. Chernyshenko reaffirmed his belief that the meeting served as a contribution to organizing another meeting between heads of state. According to Chernyshenko, the videoconference will also promote cooperation in all areas.
RUSSIAN PARTICIPANTS IN THE CONFERENCE
Participants of the meetings from the Russian side were the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Natural Resources, and Ministry of Natural Resources Bank of Russia. They were also present representatives from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Rosatom and Roscosmos state corporations.

CHINA’S PARTICIPANTS IN THE CONFERENCE
From the side of China, the meeting had representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Transport. China also had representatives from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the National Energy Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the People’s Bank of China, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
