Romania wishes China on its Independence Day

Bucharest, 1 October 2021 (TDI): The Romanian government wished a happy independence day to the People’s Republic of China on its 72nd birthday.

The Romanian government hoped to expand further their developing relations with the Chinese government. It also stated that Romania is determined to strengthen its friendship and cooperation with China. Romania also looks forward to consolidating its relationship with China under the framework of European Union-Chinese relations.

In 1949, Romania was one of the first countries that developed diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China. Since then both countries have enjoyed friendly relations.

China believes that for its economic projects in Central and Eastern European Countries, Romania can play an important role. Closer Romania-China relations can also help in the prosperity of the region
