Washington, 22 August 2022 (TDI): Senior diplomat Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has assumed responsibilities as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, saying that cementing the Pak-US relationship, strengthening economic ties and strengthening people-to-people contacts would be his top priorities.
Speaking to the mission officers, he also highlighted the significance of the Pakistani community in the US describing them as the country’s valuable asset.
The ambassador said that the community was serving as a strong bond in the Pak-US relationship, and every possible effort should be made to ensure better service delivery to it.

In this regard, the envoy emphasized the need to pursue result-oriented diplomacy.
On his arrival in Washington on Tuesday, the diplomat was received at the airport by officials of the US State Department and the Pakistani embassy.
