New York, 6 October 2023 (TDI): Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations (UN), recently convened significant meetings with distinguished international figures at the Permanent Delegation in New York.

In one of these crucial encounters, Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with David Miliband, the President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

During this meeting, Miliband provided valuable insights into the commendable work being undertaken by the International Rescue Committee to address humanitarian crises affecting refugees on a global scale.

The discussion revolved around ways to deepen collaborative efforts to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees.
