Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, received a telephone call from the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, on Wednesday, following Indian missile attacks on Pakistani territory and Pakistan downing Indian jets in defense.
The Qatari PM/FM also spoke with Indian External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar, discussing how to resolve the crisis diplomatically. He assured that Qatar is fully ready to help India and Pakistan diffuse and divert any further escalation.
During the call, Pakistan’s PM expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Qatari leadership for standing in solidarity with Pakistan during this time of crisis. He apprised the Qatari Prime Minister of the recent unprovoked missile strikes carried out by India, targeting six locations within Pakistani territory.

He condemned the attacks as a blatant and cowardly violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and an act of war that seriously threatens regional peace and stability.
He emphasized that such actions cannot be justified under any circumstances and represent a dangerous escalation in an already fragile security environment.
Highlighting Pakistan’s consistent desire for peace in South Asia, the PM Shehbaz reiterated that the country remains committed to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
In response, the Prime Minister of Qatar conveyed his condolences on the loss of innocent lives and expressed deep concern over the situation.

He commended Pakistan’s responsible and peace-oriented stance and assured that Qatar stands ready to play a constructive role in helping de-escalate the prevailing tensions in the region.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Lin Jian, said that China stands ready to work with global community to continue to play a constructive role in easing the current tension between Pakistan and India.
He also said that Beijing is concerned about the current situation and that Pakistan and India are and will always be each other’s neighbors, adding that China opposes all kinds of terrorism and urges both nations to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, exercise restraint, follow calm and refrain from taking measures that may further complicate the situation.
