Cairo, 10 September 2021 (TDI): Qatari Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi spoke to Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations on Thursday.
The meeting took place as secondary to the Arab League Council’s 156th session at the ministerial level. In this meeting, they conversed on the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). They talked about the various hurdles and difficulties faced by UNRWA in its sphere of work. Moreover, they also discussed UNRWA’s work in helping the refugees of Palestine. They mentioned the various financial issues that are posed in this way of helping Palestinian refugees.
They also conversed on the ways to mitigate the financial hardships that are posed to UNRWA in its work.
