Moscow (TDI): Russian President Vladimir Putin offered a deal to US President Donald Trump, expressing Russia’s willingness to work with the United States on rare earth metals.
The offer came after Trump’s statement about having “serious discussions” with Russia regarding an end to its conflict with Ukraine and exploring economic development deals, focusing on Moscow’s immense rare earth metal deposits.

Trump has already said that he wants nearly half of Ukraine’s mineral resources in exchange for military aid.
Putin expressed his desire to collaborate with American companies on mining rare earth minerals, both within Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine.
In an interview with state media, Putin highlighted Russia’s significant rare earth deposits, focusing on the country’s immense resources compared to Ukraine.
“Russia is one of the leading nations in rare metal reserves,” Putin stated.
“We are also open to foreign partnerships in newly integrated territories where additional reserves exist.”
His comments suggest an invitation for economic cooperation in strategically significant resource sectors.

He said that Kirill Dmitriev, Russia’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation, also confirmed Moscow’s willingness to engage in financial discussions with the United States.
These remarks co-occurred with statements by Trump, who stressed his belief in his ability to mediate an agreement to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
During a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump expressed confidence that Russia was open to negotiations.
“I believe that Putin wants to make a deal,” he stated.
Ukraine, however, has maintained that any agreement must include security guarantees from the United States.
So far, Washington has not taken a decisive stance on this demand.
As geopolitical tensions evolve, these discussions highlight the complexity of international diplomacy.
Whether economic cooperation between Russia and the US will move forward remains uncertain, particularly as the conflict in Ukraine continues to shape global relations.
