Vladivostok, 5 September 2024 (TDI): Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng at the Far Eastern Federal University.
The meeting took place on Wednesday in Russia’s Far East city. The two officials discussed the bilateral ties between China and Russia.
Celebrating 75 Years of Russian-Chinese Relations
During the meeting, Vladimir Putin thanked the joint Russian-Chinese efforts for fostering positive bilateral relations.
He said that the bilateral relations between the two countries have reached an unprecedented level due to their joint efforts.
China’s Vice President, in turn, conveyed warm regards from President Xi Jinping to Putin.
He stated that on the historic occasion of the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations, the strategic guidance from the two heads of state would further strengthen their partnership.

China’s Support for Russia’s Far East Development
Han said that China is confident about the prospects of cooperation between the two countries. China values the role played by the Eastern Economic Forum and actively supports the development of Russia’s Far East region, he said.
Moreover, China is open to sharing development opportunities with Russia that could benefit the people on both sides and promote common development and revitalization, he added.
Joint Efforts to Promote Common Development and Revitalization
Vladimir Putin warmly welcomed Han for the ninth Eastern Economic Forum. He conveyed his warm regards and wishes to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

He said that Russia highly values the bilateral cooperation between two countries in the areas of economy, trade, culture and local exchanges. Moreover, Russia is also looking forward to new development opportunities with China, he said.
