PTDC, China Culture Center Discuss Tourism, Cultural Ties

Islamabad (TDI): Managing Director of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), Aftab ur Rehman Rana, and Cultural Counsellor and Director of China Culture Center in Pakistan at the Embassy of China, Chen Peng, held discussions on strengthening tourism and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and China.

The meeting held at PTDC Head Office, focused on easing visa procedures, developing affordable tour packages, improving facilitation at the Khunjerab border, and enhancing B2B tourism linkages.

Both sides also explored initiatives for cultural exchange programs and group tours through registered operators to ensure structured and safe travel.

Aftab ur Rehman Rana highlighted the strong historical relationship between Pakistan and China.

He also mentioned about good result of Pakistan’s participation in Beijing Travel Mart and SCO Summit on Tourism.

Rana emphasized for the need to promote group tours through the registered tour operators to ensure safe and professional handling of tourists.

Chen Peng emphasized the need for people-to-people exchanges and collaborative events in the coming years.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expand tourism ties and fostering cultural connections between Pakistan and China.
