Islamabad, 21 November 2023 (TDI): The caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar-Ul-Haq Kakar on Monday met with the Ambassadors of Saudi Arab and United Arab Emirates (UAE) in separate bilateral engagements at the Prime Minister’s house.
During the meeting with the Saudi and Emirati envoys, the caretaker Prime Minister discussed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and applauded the efforts being made for the ceasefire in Gaza.
During the meeting of the Prime Minister with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliki, the Prime Minister appreciated the role of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in building historic consensus among Arab and Islamic countries.
The interim Premier also conveyed his deep appreciation for the Saudi leadership for hosting the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) Extraordinary Summit earlier this month to discuss the situation in Palestine, specifically Gaza.
Anwar-Ul-Haq Kakar reaffirmed the strong support of the Government of Pakistan towards diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the violence in Gaza and stopping the brutality unleashed by Israel on innocent Palestinians especially in Gaza.
In another diplomatic engagement, the Prime Minister also met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi.
The Ambassador of the UAE presented a formal invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the forthcoming COP-28 meeting in Dubai which will be held from November 30.
The Emirati Envoy expressed that Pakistan was one of the leading countries in climate change negotiations and the UAE was hopeful that Pakistan would play its part in ensuring the success of COP-28
In response, the Prime Minister congratulated the United Arab Emirates for hosting this important climate change conference and assured the Ambassador of Pakistan’s active participation in the event.
In their interaction, progress on bilateral cooperation between the two countries was also discussed.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the robust and wide range of engagement between Pakistan and the UAE and stressed the need to focus on strengthening cooperation in energy, trade and investment.
During their discussion on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Prime Minister urged Muslim countries to speak with a united voice to urge the international community to end the violence and brutal murder of innocent civilians in Gaza at the hands of Israeli Occupation Forces.
