Abu Dhabi, 9 March 2022 (TDI): Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh is on a five-day bilateral tour to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She was received by Noura bint Muhammed Al Kaabi, the Minister of Culture and Youth for the United Arab Emirates.

Interview with Khaleej Times:
Prime Minister of Bangladesh gave an exclusive interview to Khaleej Times, an English language newspaper agency of UAE. In the interview, she discussed the future prospects of improving bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UAE.
She assured that Dhaka is ready to contribute to Emirates’ food security program by providing skilled farmers and by the supply of food items. Prime Minister Hasina also told Khaleej times that Bangladesh is eager to work with UAE for mutual benefits.
Visit to Dubai Expo
At Dubai Expo, Prime Minister Hasina attended a high-level panel titled “Redefining Future for Women” on the occasion of International Women’s Day. She also visited Bangladesh Pavilion at Dubai Expo and signed the Visitor’s Book.
Meeting with Prime Minister of Dubai
Prime Minister Hasina also held talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai. They held discussions on issues of mutual concern and explored new approaches to collaboration.
Signing of MOUs
The Prime Ministers of Bangladesh and the UAE bore witness to the signing of four Memoranda of Understanding at Dubai Exhibition Centre in order to boost bilateral cooperation.
One is the MoU on Cooperation in Higher Education. One is MoU between the Bangladesh Institute of International Strategic Studies (BIISS) and its UAE counterpart.
Then there is the MoU between Foreign Service Academies of both the countries. Last but not least is the MoU between the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry for cooperation.
