Islamabad, 11 November 2023 (TDI): Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar-Ul-Haq Kakar on Friday departed on a three-day official visit to Riyadh, to participate in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit, on Saturday.
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an Extraordinary Islamic Summit at the invitation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of brutal and unprecedented Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people.
Gaza is currently experiencing a humanitarian crisis as Israeli Occupation Force is conducting continuous ariel strikes along with ground troops and tanks advancing into the region.
This aggression, which has continued for over a month, caused widespread destruction with about 11,000 casualties, including over 4,000 children.
During the preparatory meeting of the senior officials for the Extraordinary Islamic Summit, the organization aims to come out with a joint Islamic position and action in the face of brutal and ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinian people.
It also added that the deteriorating humanitarian situation as the result of war crimes and brutal massacres committed by the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian people throughout the occupied Palestine territory, specifically Gaza, will also be addressed.
This will be the second time OIC members will come together to discuss the recent Gaza crisis, during its last conference, OIC strongly condemned the Israeli military aggression against the Palestinians and declared it a war crime.
The cause of Palestine and Al Quds was the raison d’etre for the establishment of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in 1969.
OIC envisions Palestine their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign state with 1967 borders with Al Quds Sharif as its capital, preserving its Arab identity and Holy places.
