Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari returned to Islamabad on Friday after completing a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan.
During his stay in Ashgabat, President Zardari attended the International Forum on “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – Basis of Peace and Development.”
Addressing the forum, President Zardari highlighted the strong bond between Pakistan and Turkmenistan, rooted in mutual respect, shared faith, and a common vision for a peaceful and prosperous future.
During his visit, the President held meetings with Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan.

The discussions focused on deepening the already strong ties between the two nations.
In addition, President Zardari met with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations, exchanging cordial remarks and best wishes during the meeting.
