Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday formally received the Letter of Credence from Choe Chang Man, the newly appointed Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan, in an official ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
During the meeting, Ambassador Choe conveyed greetings from the South Korean President and expressed his country’s desire to deepen diplomatic and economic ties with Pakistan.
He highlighted the potential for increased cooperation in areas such as trade, technology, education, and infrastructure, emphasizing Korea’s interest in contributing to Pakistan’s development.

President Zardari, welcoming the ambassador-designate, underscored Pakistan’s commitment to fostering stronger relations with South Korea.
He expressed hope that the two nations would work closely to explore new opportunities in trade, investment, and cultural exchange, particularly through Pakistan’s special economic zones and ongoing development projects.
Pakistan-South Korea Ties
Pakistan and South Korea have maintained strong diplomatic and cooperative ties since establishing formal relations in 1983. These ties encompass a wide range of sectors, including trade, technology, education, and infrastructure, with both nations aiming to expand mutual benefits and regional stability.
Trade between Pakistan and South Korea has grown significantly, with South Korean companies investing in key sectors such as electronics, construction, automobiles, and energy.
