President Xi lands in Serbia paving way for enhanced friendship

Belgrade, May 08 2024 (TDI): The President of the People’s Republic of China arrived at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, Serbia, on May 7, 2024. President Xi released his first arrival statement on the airport.

President Xi initiated with pleasure on his arrival at Serbia and extended his gratitude and greetings. Additionally, he also emphasized ancient traditions unite China and Serbia in a strong friendship.

During his statement he also elaborated that in the face of an ever-evolving international environment, our bilateral relationship has proven to be an exemplary model of state-to-state relations.

He also noted that ever since the comprehensive strategic partnership was formed in 2016, the bilateral relationship has experienced remarkable progress and accomplished unprecedented milestones. Political mutual faith between the two nations is firmly established, and their Belt and Road collaboration has produced fruitful outcomes.

Moreover, President Xi said that Comprehensive reciprocal visa exemption has been negotiated, direct flights have commenced, and a free trade agreement has been signed.

President Xi also extended diplomatic words regarding the both countries bilateral relations. President Xi said that the bond of Sino-Serbian unwavering friendship has grown stronger within the hearts of both nations. China and Serbia have provided unwavering support to each other.

Furthermore, He also elaborated that China and Serbia have collectively maintained global equity and impartiality, while making our own contribution to advancing global peace and development.

President Xi also cleared that the collaboration between the two nations is founded on the core values of equality and mutual benefits. Moreover, it advances the fundamental and long-term interests of both nations, stimulates our own growth and rejuvenation and fosters the creation of a global community with a shared future.

President Xi expressed his optimism by stating that “I look forward to this visit as an opportunity to have in-depth discussions with President Vučić about the bilateral relationship,

My objective is to enhance our friendship, plan for cooperation, explore chances for growth, and develop a new framework to progress our bilateral relations. I am confident that our visit will be fruitful and will mark the beginning of a new era in the relations between China and Serbia”.
