Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari extended new year greetings to the nation and the global community, urging everyone to reflect on the past year’s successes and challenges, learn from them and work towards a bright future.
In a message, the president prayed for the development and prosperity of Pakistan at the beginning of the new year.
“May the new year usher in peace, stability, prosperity and progress to the nation. I hope that the new year will be a year of prosperity and progress and peace and stability at the international level. To get the nation out of the challenges, we have to work with discipline, unity, continuous hard work and dedication,” he said.
The president added that the youth should be invested in developing their skills by providing opportunities and in order to make the country strong, and the focus should be on the wellbeing of the poor.

At the beginning of the year, President Zardari said the country should resolve to work hard for public service, peace and stability.
